DUET: When JESUS met VENUS
by VENUS: February 25, 2017

The DUET: When Jesus met Venus, is a literary dialogue through stream of consciousness,
known as interior monologue. It's a conversational exchange in a theatrical fashion between two
beautiful portraits: the portrait of Jesus, I painted from the Shroud of Turin image, many believe
to be the face of God, and the portrait of Venus, my own self-portrait.
I combined Jesus’ teaching from the book of Matthew (King James Version) with my poetry (My
Four Seasons) and other thoughts of mine, to create a literary dialogue I sensed when these two
artworks met each other in 2015, Washington, U.S.A.
JESUS

It is written, Man shall not live
by bread alone,
but by every word
that proceedeth
out of the mouth of God.

(M4:4)
VENUS

Around me you stay
O thou Spring,
Love the colors
to my heart
you bring.

(My Four Seasons)
JESUS

It is written, again
Thou shalt not tempt
the Lord thy God.

(M4:4)
VENUS

You, O thou Summer
have my admiration
For burning me inside
with sensation.

(My Four Seasons)
JESUS

Repent:
for the kingdom of heaven
is at hand.

(M4:17)
VENUS

With you, O thou Autumn
I always feel me
Among the raindrops
and leaves under the tree.

(My Four Seasons)
JESUS

hmmm....

Blessed are
the pure in heart:
for they shall see God.

(M5:8)
VENUS

Everything I do
is passionate and true,
'cos, ah, thou Winter
I breathe in - you.

(My Four Seasons)
VENUS

My God!
You do look
so handsome!
VENUS

But our generation,
we are VISUAL!
Give us a sign,
in the sky!
VENUS

Some say,
that you are
the face of God...
VENUS

O, Christ!
I see Jesus
in thee!
VENUS

Then, give us a sign,
in words...
VENUS

Mourn?!
And what else,
what else will happen,
on that day?
VENUS

nations?!
Like - the United Nations?

Passionate Piano joined the roads they travel by
When JESUS met VENUS
the end...
JESUS

Let your light so shine
before men,
that they may see
your good works,
and glorify your Father
who is in heaven.

(M5:16)
JESUS

shshshh...

See that
no man know it.

(M9:30)
JESUS

O ye hypocrites,
ye can discern
the face of the sky;
but can ye not
discern
the signs of the times?

(M16:3)
JESUS

But whom say ye
that I am?

(M16:15)
JESUS

Verily I say unto you,
There be some standing here,
which shall not taste of death,
till they see the Son of Man,
coming in his kingdom.

(M16:28)
JESUS

The sun shall be darkened,
and the moon shall not
give her light,
and the stars shall fall
from heaven,
and the powers of the heavens
shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign
of the Son of Man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes
of the earth mourn,
and they shall see the Son of man
coming in the clouds of heaven,
with power and great glory.

(M24:29)
JESUS

And before him
shall be gathered all nations:
and he shall separate them;
one from another...

(M25:32)
JESUS

Verily I say unto you,
This generation shall not pass
till all these things be fulfilled.

(M24:34)
JESUS

TOXIC is recorded in her darkest hour by my dear friend Jackie, composed as she struggled through tears, the night she
learned her sister was terminally ill. She will miss Kristin so much until they meet again. Jackie's gorgeous portrait at the end
beautifully seals the concept of love and passion, that only through faith in God can we find comfort thus get lit like a candle,
and filled with strength within to move on.

The mystery of my art, Jesus teaching and Jackie’s music, came to light on Easter Sunday!
The interaction between all the pieces was truly genuine, so I spent the day putting the pieces together.
The contemplation felt profound, like a reverie, having in mind, it is a happy day for Christ believers, who believe that Jesus
rose from the dead, thus resurrection symbolizes that death is not the end.

After I painted from the Shroud of Turin image, the portrait of Jesus you see, someone whispered to me:
You know what Shroud of Turin is to me Angel
It's an INSULT.
